This looks much more like the section that Annemarie and I hiked in 1981. Higher walls passing over the wind blown bluffs. Very pretty, but it must have been a very desolate posting for the Roman foot soldiers. Unfortunately it looks like the weather isn’t cooperating, but I know you are both prepared to manage this. Hard to believe that a heat wave recently descended on this area. Looks like other walkers as well to keep you company. Are you joining others for meals? A special part of any walk. Nice to see you Ken!🍻
It’s not like the Camino; connections with other walkers are fleeting. Two more days—tomorrow is long but relatively flat.
