Walking the Bypass: Notes on Place from the Side of the Road launches in Regina on October 7

Exciting news: my book, Walking the Bypass: Notes on Place from the Side of the Road launches at the John Archer Library at the University of Regina on October 7 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.

Dr. Jesse Rae Archibald-Barber, a professor of English at First Nations University of Canada and the author of the award-winning book acâhkos: nikamowini-pîkiskwêwina: nêhiyawi-kîsik âcimowin/The Star Poems: A Cree Sky Narrative, and I will talk about Walking the Bypass. (Jesse’s book is bilingual–Plains Cree or nêhiyawêwin and English–which is the reason it has two titles.) I’ll read selections from my book, too.

Copies of Walking the Bypass will be available to purchase–a week before the official release date–and of course I’ll sign yours if you like.

A second launch will take place off the University of Regina campus later in October; details about that one will be forthcoming soon. Launches will happen in Toronto and Ottawa in November as well.
