Michael Leunig’s “How to Get There”

My Australian Camino buddy Neil Millar suggested that I take a look at Michael Leunig’s cartoon and poem “How to Get There,” and it’s too good not to share.

I think that is how you get there: by keeping on with it, one step at a time. Thanks, Neil, for letting me know about Leunig’s work.

  1. Hi Ken

I’m so pleased you found Leunig’s actual cartoon. His drawings are as whimsical and touching as his words – and together they work a kind of soulful magic. So pleased to hear of the financial commitment of the Ontario state government – something is happening and you and your intentions are part of it!! I’ve got another little Leunig piece to give you but I’ll hold that for a day or two.

Australia is mostly warm, dry and sunny but a Canberra winter has its moments. As for the beasties, well, I wouldn’t want to ruin our reputation. I discovered the other day that we have over 115 species of venomous snakes. I didn’t believe it but apparently they are out there, snaking around and getting on with their snake lives!!
